Semco Picnic

Semco threw a 50 year celebration at a local park. It was such a beautiful day! We had BBQ and brought the dogs. They were excellent garbage disposals for anyone who was so inclined to feed them. They also had a bounce house in which William and Chris had fun...no pictures of them though:(.

Inside the house...when we first got it

These are all the before pictures of our house. The former owner had recently renovated the place, we were extremely lucky to get such a nice place. There were only a few things we had him do before buying the house (install a radon mitigation system and a vent for the dryer...he had even switched out the outlets to be GFCI rated and added railing to the back deck even though he didn't have to). Our realtor told us that people don't usually get so lucky to have the owner put in so much extra work. There was definitely someone watching out for us. The upper floor has three bedrooms, the living room, kitchen, dining room, 2 baths.
The downstairs has a family room, utility, and 3/4 bath. The fireplace was blocked off within the first few years that the previous owners had the house.

Building a Snowman

I had to laugh, it looks like she had been sniffing coke.
William adding the finishing touches.
Cella didn't like her rope being used as the scarf. She took it off herself.
Both the dogs were eating the snowman, but I liked this one of Marbre giving it a big lick.

Feb-Mar Snow

We had a few snow days this year. At one point the snow just kept coming and coming. These were after one of the storms.
There was a huge branch that broke off in the middle of the night. The amount of snow and ice just became too much to hold up I suppose.
The poor lilac bush. We ended up shaking this one off, and it sprung right back up.

Mmmmm...Peanut Butter

The answer is yes, she even got the stuff at the bottom.

Visit to Trane

When going to manufacturing plants you usually have to wear steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, etc. Well, I didn't have any steel toe shoes on this trip so I got some sweet bright yellow covers. There was clacking everywhere I walked, which I am sure people loved!

Syracuse, NY-On the Job

I have been out a few times on service jobs. Sometimes they are not so much fun because you are dealing with a unhappy customer. This trip was fun though. A third party kinda put a huge hole in the side of our unit, and the customer wanted it replaced, so we had to disassemble a large portion of the unit to do it. This was a rooftop unit, what you cannot see in the picture of me inside the unit is that I am straddling a huge hole dropping down who knows how far for the duct work. Scary!
Dan M was my partner in crime on this trip. Like how we are using 2x4's to prop up the fan and motor on top a sheet metal piece? Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

ASHRAE-Dallas

This year I got to go to Dallas for the ASHRAE show. It is basically a big vendor fair, everyone showing off their latest and greatest gizmos. Semco hosted a hospitality event at the Dallas World Aquarium.
Being in Dallas, I called up Jessica H. She and her hubby came and took part in the festivities.
This guy...or girl...was way trippy looking. It's eyes were super reflective.
We went and saw the Kennedy Memorial. I talked Andy into laying in the middle of the road where the "X" was. Probably not the best idea for a high traffic area, but he pulled it off beautifully.
At the House of Blues with Chris W. and Andy B.
Everyone fell asleep on me on the 10 hr. drive back to Columbia.
